If you are stressed, consider somatic massage or somatic coaching and know that your body has a whole set of inbuilt ways to help you manage your inner states.

Healing isn’t linear. So if you’re on your path, if you’re healing, going through your healing journey, take a moment to congratulate yourself. Take a moment to stop and think how far you’ve come, rather than focusing on how far you’ve got to go and measuring it in a linear way, in a time framed way.

We can’t put time frame on how long it takes for ourselves to heal and that’s OK. However the West has picked it up and turned it into a mission, turned it into outcome focused activities to be measured, to be tracked, to be watched and observed within an inch of its life.

And this can become very, very stressful in and of itself; and we can focus more on the objectives, more on the actions, more on the to-do list and bypass the entire point of healing.

Which is to be present, to own ourselves, to reclaim our identity, to come home to ourselves and feel well in and of ourselves.

This is the point of healing, to be present with ourselves at any given time no matter what feelings are coming up or emotions are coming up.
