If you are stressed, consider somatic massage or somatic coaching and know that your body has a whole set of inbuilt ways to help you manage your inner states.

Your body has its own way to manage these states and it’s outlined within the polyvagal theory. This explains how our nervous system responds to stress and can equally drop into calm, soothing states.

In brief, it’s like a built-in radar that helps us feel safe or alert by modulating between our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

When our body perceives stress or danger, our fight or flight mode kicks in, preparing us physically to manage this. And this is fine if we are in danger, but what if we end up chronically stressed?

There’s a way to calm this response - enter somatic massage and somatic coaching.

Consensual soothing touch can modulate your nervous system to change your inner states for the better, as can a raft of practises that I share in my sessions for you to use on a daily basis.

By activating your vagus nerve, my bodywork, tools and techniques help shift your body from stress to relaxation.

Imagine feeling a wave of calm wash over you as you receive the support of bodywork, as well as the sense of empowerment using the practises I share.

So next time you feel stressed, consider somatic massage or somatic coaching and know that your body has a whole set of inbuilt ways to help you manage your inner states.
