If you are stressed, consider somatic massage or somatic coaching and know that your body has a whole set of inbuilt ways to help you manage your inner states.

If you are a bodyworker who senses there is something deeper than standard massage protocols, The Soma Massage Method™ has been created with you in mind.

I am delighted to announce that the Soma Massage Method is now open for registration. The next training takes place on 20 April in Lancashire, and it offers a powerful opportunity to expand your practice, your understanding of the body, and the way you support your clients.

Many practitioners reach a point where they have learned multiple techniques and modalities. Yet something still feels missing. You may recognise that your clients are carrying deeper layers of stress or trauma, and traditional approaches do not always provide the space needed for lasting change.

The Soma Massage Method is designed to meet that need.

Moving Beyond Standard Bodywork

This training introduces a different approach to bodywork. Instead of focusing only on muscles and structural techniques, we explore how the
nervous system shapes the body’s capacity to heal. Somatic bodywork works beneath the surface. It supports the body at the level of the nervous system, helping clients move from states of tension and stress into greater regulation and resilience.

When clients feel safe within their nervous system, their bodies can begin the natural process of healing. Chronic stress can soften. Symptoms linked to trauma can begin to shift. The body regains its ability to restore balance.

As practitioners, our role becomes less about fixing and more about creating the conditions where healing can happen.

What You Will Learn

During this two day immersion, you will gain both practical tools and a strong theoretical foundation.

You will learn The Soma Massage protocol, a structured yet responsive approach to somatic bodywork that can be integrated into your existing practice. Alongside this, the training introduces a wide range of tools and practices designed to support both practitioner and client. These include:

  • Nervous system regulation practices
  • Somatic awareness techniques
  • Safety and grounding protocols
  • Ways to support clients beyond the treatment session

These tools help you create a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, supported and able to explore their body’s experience. Equally important is the understanding behind the work. The training includes clear, accessible theory rooted in
neuroscience and nervous system regulation, helping you understand why these approaches are effective and how to apply them with confidence.

An Embodied Learning Experience

The Soma Massage Method™ is not simply about learning techniques. It is about
embodied presence. Throughout the training you will spend time giving and receiving bodywork, exploring the practices first hand and developing deeper awareness in your own body. This immersion allows the learning to be felt, not just understood intellectually.

By experiencing the work yourself, you gain a much richer understanding of how to support your clients.

Many practitioners find that this process transforms their own relationship with their body and their work.

Building Confidence and Safety in Your Practice

One of the most important elements of somatic bodywork is safety. Clients who are experiencing chronic stress or trauma symptoms need a practitioner who understands how to create a regulated and supportive environment.

The Soma Massage Method™ includes
clear safety protocols that help you feel confident in your ability to hold space for clients. These guidelines ensure that both you and your clients remain grounded, supported and safe throughout the work.

With these foundations in place, sessions can become deeply restorative experiences that help clients reconnect with their body’s natural capacity for healing.
