If you are stressed, consider somatic massage or somatic coaching and know that your body has a whole set of inbuilt ways to help you manage your inner states.

On my new years eve post I spoke about self love and I wonder if that resonated with you or triggered you.

Self love for me is self care and self care takes a lot of discipline. It requires living consciously, living on purpose, with intention and focus and with commitment.

And so a few of myself care practices at the moment I’d like to share with you. Which are I get up at 6 each morning and I practise yin yoga. I’ve started to practise bodybuilding with light weight with more reps through the menopause, as I’m going through the menopause at the moment, losing muscle mass and needing to ramp up weight bearing exercise. I eat a vegan diet and I make sure to get out in nature every day.

So they’re just a few of myself care practices which for me represent self love.

Self love isn’t just about a nebulous concept that’s woo-woo and makes no sense. It’s very intentional, purposeful and I choose to lead this conscious life so that I can be the best version of myself that I can be. So that I can be the best version to serve others, to serve my clients, my family, my friends.

So that for me is self love. And so I wonder what self love means for you and how you practise it on the daily.
